Not in the mood for cooking?

We’ve all been there you just don’t feel like cooking. Nothing looks appetizing in the fridge, you just don’t like the thought of washing the dishes after you cook or you don’t want to expend the energy overall. So you wind up getting take out. There’s nothing wrong with doing this occasionally but when one day turns into two and two into three the cost starts adding up and probably the unhealthy choices too. Here are some tips to get your home cooking food groove back on.

  • Meal prep -no thought into what you’re going to eat during the week and no pots and pans to wash after the initial prep. I have an article on the best way to meal prep on my blog.

  • Have a theme meal night based on a movie, an event, or a culture

  • Pick an ingredient you’ve never cooked with before, get those creative juices flowing

  • Try a new recipe, a good challenge can motivate you to get in the kitchen

  • Make it a fun night in the kitchen, throw on some music and put your child in charge of the meal. Your child can come up with the menu and you can help them cook it.
